About Us
This year marks the 66th year of the Victoria Livestock Show founded by the Victoria Jaycees.  It is the largest event held in Victoria and surrounding counties each year with over 12,000 visitors annually.  It is one of the few remaining livestock shows where 100% of the proceeds from each animal sold at the auction is paid to the 4-H/FFA Junior Exhibitors.

The mission of the Victoria Livestock Show is to provide an opportunity for the youth of Victoria County to exhibit their 4-H and FFA projects, developing agricultural knowledge and leadership skills.

A past volunteer's quote constantly reminds each of us "The Show is for the Kids!".
Volunteer Organizations
There are hundreds of volunteers from several organizations that contribute countless hours to ensure the success of the show.

The Victoria Jaycees - The Victoria Jaycees are the local chapter of an international organization that provides leadership training opportunities to young people, while conducting community service projects.  The Jaycees are responsible for conducting projects that promote attendance, provide entertainment and raise funds for the show. Victoria Livestock Show Association - a group of volunteers charged with the responsibility of conducting the 4-H and FFA competitions during the show.  They are generally known throughout the show as Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents and Supervisors.
4-H/FFA Leaders - Employees of the Victoria County Extension Office, Future Farmers of America teachers and 4-H group leaders are actively involved with the youth, providing education, guidance and assistance with their projects.

Victoria Livestock Show Foundation - The purpose of this non-profit organization is to administer and fund the annual scholarship program.  The board of directors is composed of individuals from each of the other non-profit organizations involved in the show.  Currently, ten scholarships totaling $11,000 are awarded each year to graduating seniors.

Victoria Livestock Show, Inc. - This organization is responsible for major acquisitions of equipment necessary to conduct the show.  They also manage and make improvements to facilities, such as the Victoria Livestock Show Pavilion, utilized each year for the show.
